After graduating from Michigan State University's College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1985, Dr. Johnson-Wendt opened her own mixed animal clinic in the thumb area. She joined Midland Animal Clinic in 1995 to be in her hometown while she raises her daughter and son. Dr. Johnson-Wendt is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist after graduating from the Chi Institute in 2005. She not only devotes a large portion of her life to her children and their activities, the welfare of pets through veterinary medicine, but also tries to find time to garden and take care of her own pet family.
Dr. Karen Mikols received her Bachelors Degree at the University of Illinois. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and performed her clinical year at Texas A&M University. After practicing outside her hometown of Chicago for two years, Dr. Mikols worked in Granbury, Texas for four years. In June 2012, Dr. Mikols moved to Midland, Michigan to be closer to her family. Dr. Mikols is married to her husband, Charles, and has 2 children, Brock and Karleigh. Her pet family includes a Frenchie named Taters and a lab named Filson. In her free time, Dr. Mikols enjoys getting outdoors, working out and spending time with her family. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery.
